INTRODUCTION

We are a small kennels based in the West Midlands, only producing a litter occasionally. Each litter is carefully planned to produce puppies that are healthy, happy and have a great temperament. Both parents are health screened above and beyond the Kennel Club guidelines.
In 1972 my journey into the love of dogs began, when an 8 week old Wire Haired Fox Terrier (Michael) from the Dodford Kennels (Bromsgrove)
entered the family home. I grew up respecting and understanding the needs of dogs and above all the pleasure they can bring.
I became interested in obedience in 1997 when I rescued a GSDx (Britvic) and also the following year with a rescued Standard Poodle (Jake) .
It was then I became a member of the British Association for German Shepherd Dogs, and I began to train and compete in obedience competitions.
In due course I became Secretary of the local branch and in July 2004 I gained my qualification as an Obedience Instructor.
In 2003 I became interested in the showing of GSD’s when I acquired Alexbria Whispa (see female page) who gained Class 1 in her breed survey.
I was granted my Affix/Kennel Name KAMANTAS by the Kennel Club in February 2006.
May 2005 Whispa had her first litter, I kept Edward (Ted) for obedience/vpg training
August 2006 I kept a daughter from Whispa’s second litter that I am currently showing with success,[ Kamantas Ariella ] with whom I qualified for Crufts 2008 and 2009.
Also out of this litter I kept Kamantas Alfie (Alf) for obedience and Whispa’s third and final litter (see puppy page) March 2008….watch this space !
From Whispa’s third and final litter in March 2008 we kept Kamantas Bethany (Betty) who has also had success in the show ring and has qualified for Crufts 2010 and her litter sister Kamantas Benita (Nita) a very stunning sable long coat.
